Dependent can move from visitor to dependent visa?

Dependent can move from visitor to dependent visa?

Hi, I am planning to bring my family wife and kid on visitor visa for now. I am working in MNC on Tier2 ICT long term visa. If my UK assignment get continue for next 1 yr. In this case is it possible that my dependent can get the dependent visa from visitor visa?

No way. Switching from visitor to any other visa category from within the UK is not permitted.

thanks! so my family can move to home country and can reapply for dependent VISA, is that correct?
