Difference in Entry Stamps.

Hi everyone,my wife and 2 daughters arrived in Ireland from Brazil a couple of weeks ago.At passport control there were no problems at all.There were no questions at all,we didnt have to show our wedding cert or the kids birth certs or anything.The guy just stamped the passports and that was it.
However the kids stamps are different from my wifes.She has the usual 90 days tourist stamp and my kids just have the date of entry,no stipulation about how many days they can stay.
