I found the following information on VFS global page, hope this answers your question

Yes you do need a visa to Turkey. And you need to apply well in advance.

To Egypt you do need a visa as well but I heard that Egypt do not accept travel documents. But you should double check. Do ring the Egyptian embassy and ask.

Hi All,

I have made MN1 application (Naturalization) for my daughter early August. As per all users experience, i don't think I will get it in 3 months.
I have planned to travel to India with her next month and coming back within a month. She is holding Indian passport without any UK visa Hence it wont be a problem travel to India but difficult to come back.

Do I have any other option to take her back to UK on alternative route?
Can I apply for her travel document to come back to UK??
I am currently on ILR.

All Gurus please advice any other option.

Thank you all

Hello Everyone!!

I have literally started my Travel document journey!

I shall give you a little bit of background information and I hope you can all fully me and get involved in my journey.

I sent my application for a Convention Travel document yesterday this is my first one as an adult as I previously had one at 8 years old which expired years ago. I was born in the UK but my mum wasn't she had leave to remain at my time of birth and got indefinite leave to remain when I was 2.

I was very silly in previous years and I have a criminal record which it was I am very worried about with regards to this application and believe it may be possibly declined!

My biggest wish is to simply take my little girl to disneyland!! So fingers crossed let the journey begin!

Applicant Sent to HO: 13/10/15

Application Signed for: 14/10/15

Fees Deducted:

Letter for Biometrics:

BioMetrics Completed:

Travel Document Received!!!:

Would love to knw the average timelines for other people and has anyone really recently sent a travel document??

Thanks SS x

Hello All,

I’m a new joiner to the forum and have some quick questions for everyone about the CTD and would really appreciate all your help.

I’ve just recently being granted Refugee Asylum (first application). I already applied for my bio-metric card on 01/10/2015 and received it 08/10/2015 just after a week!

I now want to apply for CTD and the application form asks for ‘Immigration Status Documents’. Does this mean that I have to submit my original biometric card? I’m a bit hesitant to do that as I need to keep this for job applications. Please give me some advice.

Secondly, can anyone suggest whom can give me a free declaration by a professional or where I can get this cheaply sorted out. I do have a GP but do not have a Doctor or Bank Manager. Please any suggestions would be very welcome.

Please please please do give me some advice on this.

God bless all.

My Timeline

CTD application Sent :5/11/2015
Received by HO : 6/11/2015
Account Debited : -9/11/2015
Waiting for CTD:

I have refugee leave to remain and have sent a coloured copy of BRP (BRP issued a year ago) but have sent Original Status Letters for Leave to remain. The application form doesn't mention BRP to be sent with the application. The TD112 form and guidance is revised every few months and BRP is quiet an obvious thing to request by HO .
If required, it would have been clearly mentioned. I might be wrong?? Can this be an issue??

Hello Everyone;
I've recently got my Refugee Settlement and would like to apply for Convention Travel Document. Apart from my expired CTD, BRP and 2 photos, do I need to send something else? I remember I sent my Leave to remain letter when I was applying for my first TCD base on 5-year refugee visa but I have no such a letter for my ILR.
Do I really have to have ILR status letter because as far as I remember, I did'n receive that letter with my BRP!
