Gerrys Pakistan Application After Submission Updates

Hi All,

Just to confirm according to Gerrys Pakistan there should be Five email/SMS notifications i.e.

Five SMS and Email notifications are sent to an applicant at various stages of the application processing cycle. SMS and Email notifications are sent when:

Application is scanned out of the VAC
Application is scanned in at the Honorary Consul Karachi
Application is scanned out of the Honorary Consul Karachi
Application is scanned in at the VAC
Application is scanned out and delivered to applicant

has any one received any such update, i have only received one email stating that IRL application No XXXX is forwarded to Irish embassy/consulate 6 weeks ago, surely it will not take 6 Week to reach Karachi.


Any suggestions/updates on above? Thanks

You are right, that is all it says when we track our application now.


The Visa Application for IRLxxxxxx has been forwarded for processing to the Ireland Embassy/Consulate on 7/10/2015 7:42:00 AM


There was no point to pay them money to track our applications. They charged us for two applications (my wife and my daughter) ha ha. I'd recommend not to pay them for tracking. There is no point.

I wonder if the applications are posted to Dublin or they go via Karachi,

Its as clear as mud, not sure how visas are processed,

Pakistan Consulate does not keep any applications, They are just like post office for Irish immigration in Dublin. So your application must have reached dublin. I emailed them and they said Awaiting Visa decision from a Visa officer. It means they have my file.
You should do the same to make sure they have received your application and it's in queue.

I submitted on 10th of July in the VFS karachi. It is visamail@justice.ie

Just mention your application number in the subject.

I applied for EU Directive Family member, wouldn't that be in other as Family visas are for Irish national, as per inis if sponsor is irish etc ... .

Also how long the visa mail people take to update with your application status? Thanks

I fall in the same category, as i hold green card. So waiting time for me and Irish citizen would be 6 month max. (According to inis). So i believe same in your case. Because dependent visa information is also in the same document on their website. But it would be great if you are in Other than join family category.

You can track your application on inis website visa decision list.gerrys website takes ages . But inis website upload decisions every tuesday.

Just to update, I have received a response from Gerry's and they will only update 2 time during the process of application i.e. at the time of forwarding the application and at the time of receipt of documents.
