I am also still waiting for 5 years response, The temporary stamp 4 letter says that the decision is pending on the 11th of december and visa xpires on the 10th of January 2016, no phonecall to the EU citizen employer yet.

Well you need to write and ask them what's happening as the 6 months limits has elapsed.

Hi Obie

well I still have 14 days more on my visa. Do you not think that I should wait for 2 more weeks and once my visa run out I write to them.
also they didn't register me for my six month temporary stamp 4 on the counter so I left at that and just sent more documentations to them.
do you think I will have problems again registering if I get my 5 yrs letter.

What they did is a gross violation of eu law and their law.

if you let them get away, they may well refuse again. You should not have let them get away with it.

Hi Obie
actually I was in the middle of finding a home and jobs and plus having no visa it was hard to battle with them over the six months temporary visa.

lets hope for this one to be positive

Ok. From my experience with justice . If you allow them to get away with small things, they may try bigger ones.

What if they refuse to register you if or when your 5 years is approved.

I didn't want to let them get away with it but due to some personal circumstances and lack of time I couldn't start a legal battle with them over temporary stamp 4. I don't know what to do if they refuse to register us again. what do you think our options are if that is the case

HI Griffith
they gave some silly reasons. saying I was in France in 2006 trying to cross the Uk border and enter illegally . I haven't even left my company till 2015. then saying we need more proofs of your relationship. but nothing was in writing so that is why I left. I thought they will write back to me if they were really concerned but they never. the solicitor told me to try again another day but they had taken away my visa letter and kept it so I had no letter to go again and get register

Did you get your stamp on the basis of marriage or your family and were you really trying to cross the border illegally?

But i am wondering why havent you taken any legal against them when you were denied visa for six months ?
Yes this is true that they are checking certain cases, if they had denied your visa you should have consulted a lawyer straight away.

I think if you have some history in the UK or you came illegaly in Ireland than on the basis of that they have rejected you to register because they can actually check the applicants history from the UK because all the data have been shared.

You will get a decision around that expiry date. I reckon next week you will receive the letter.

My wife got letter a day after stamp expired.

That is strange . I applied for some family member and the department issued a 6 month stamp 4, valid from the day the acknowledgement was received, to six months after that,,which is due to run into the summer.

When acknowledgement was received they requested many document , 40% of which was not sent .

They replied 3 weeks later with approval for my sister and mother.

The reply was received 3 months before the due date, and 5 months before the temporary stamp 4 expires.

So the temporary stamp 4 is not a benchmark for when a decision is made .

Your case should have been decided since November 2015 and not the date on the temporary stamp 4. In any event, you were not even given the temporary stamp 4.

Hi Obie

I think they have issued this 7 months letter to most of the members here who applied recently. I can understand that there might be lucky people like you who got their decisions within the 6 months timeframe but with the amount of applications they are dealing with nowadays I don't think there is a lot of people who gets their decision within the time frame they give. They didn't get me registered for the temporary stamp 4 but I never had anything in paper from them requesting more information. Anyway I will update you here how I get on
