Congrats on the ILR!

Regarding Naturalisation, you need to have residence in the UK for an entire 5 years period, with a maximum of 450 days of absence together in the 5 years, of which the absence should not be more than 90 days in the last 12 months. The only exception to this rule is if you are married to a British National, then the residence requirement is only 3 years with 270 days of total absence and less than 90 days of absence in the last 12 months. For more information, go through these two guides:

BOOKLET AN: Naturalisation Booklet – The Requirements (To be read in conjunction with GUIDE AN)

GUIDE AN: Naturalisation as a British citizen – A guide for applicants (To be read in conjunction with BOOKLET AN)

Another document published by the UKBA and it is in concert with the above 2 documents:
BN7 - NATURALISATION AS A BRITISH CITIZEN

Looks like you need to wait another couple of years to get British (unless you are married to a British National).

Would you be kind enough to share more details and/or documents submitted to get the ILR? What kind of business you do, how did you get the equivalent of 10 new jobs for1 year, etc.? Will help all the board members. Thanks.

Thanks Entrepreneur for the detailed post above.

When you say turnover, did you generate all the 5 millions in sales alone? And how long did it take you to reach that target? TIA.

Hi Entrepreneur,

Thank you for your detailed reply. It is very helpful.

I have the following questions, it would be very kind if you could clarify as it will help all of us.

Q1)
The guidance for accelerated ILR does not ask for the following documents..
9. Business rate bill for business premises
10. Business premises lease agreement copy

Did you subtmit them as extras, or were they asked for anywhere ?

Q2)
4. Unaudited accounts with compilation report - What is a compilation report ? Can you please elaborate a bit ?
6. Meeting minutes for director loan - I understood the director loan agreement, but what is ia meeting minutes document ? Could you please explain ?

5. Director loan agreement - Would you please be able to post just a sample of one of your agreements, as it will help us all get an idea of it.

Q3)

4. Employees payment history report - I thought this was the P11, or is this something different ? Could you please elaborate how this is generated ? Or what this is exactly ?

Thank you so much for your detailed replies. These will help us all!

Hi Entrepreneur, that is very helpful to all of us ! thank you again for that.

Just a last question, did you get the ILR just yourself or did your dependents get it as well, as I am being told that only the main applicant will get it and the dependents will have to wait for 5 years.

But, if you don't like to answer a question just say so. You don't have to tell me what I "should" ask or not. That's condescending!

It's evident that you could have achieved that target anytime in the 3 years period, but I asked just out of sheer curiosity. I could have used a similar patronising tone and said that you "shouldn't" be asking the original question because you can read English and can get information from the gov website. That would be too arrogant, wouldn't it? Instead, I replied to your post amicably without saying so. Hope you would be more considerate in your responses. Thanks.

mate attahas, i dont think entrepreneur was condescending, you are diverting from the topic here which is about ILR and taking is personally. what he said is perfectly right, as how much time entrepreneur took to reach 5mn sales does not have any bearing with anyone elses ilr application. neither yours nor mine, so it was quite frankly a question just for the sake of asking. Plus he actually replied to you quite nicely.

Rahul, I guess you missed the "sheer curiosity" part. And, by the way, this OP wasn't even about ILR, it was about the timeline to obtain citizenship. Entrepreneur already posted about his ILR process on the ILR forum, please check there. Any response in this thread other than that related to citizenship query is diverting, isn't it?

[quote="sweetjane"]Hi Entrepreneur

Congratulations on getting your accelerated ILR!
Many thanks for your extensive replies and templates - they are really helpful.

I'm due to extend my visa early next year and have a few more questions I'd appreciate if you could answer:

1) Did you submit the extension application on your own or did you have a solicitor represent you?

A: Yes, I did submit the application myself

2) Director's loan agreement: In your loan agreement template, in addition to yourself (director) it will also be signed by the company (borrower). Did you sign for this twice? As I'm assuming that you are your company's main director and shareholder and besides lending the funds, you would also represent the company.

A: Yes You assumed correctly I signed for both.

3) Meeting Minutes - Is this only signed by you (in the capacity of a director) do all other directors (if any) have to sign it?

A: Sorry cannot give you any affirmative answer on that. But I guess its need to be signed by all directors.

4) Unaudited accounts with compilation report - How was the director's loan indicated in the accounts? Did you have a director's loan account in place?

A: It was indicated as Creditors in company's annual account balance sheet, and in notes to the accounts ( also in company's accounts ) as Other creditors ( Director's loan to the company ).Your accountant must be able to help you on that.

I hope my answers are helpful to you, and good luck for your extension application.

Thank you entrepreneur for sharing the information.
Assuming that you have made investment over period of time, what was the date on Directors Loan Agreement you had submitted.

Honestly, this site is helpful. I am in a similar situation and my point is on naturalization. I have been in the UK for about 6 years now, but only joined the Tier 1 entrepreneur about 3 years ago and am working on going on the accelerated route to secure the ILR. My question is can i proceed further immediately after ILR for naturalization or do i have to wait for the next 2 years when i must have been 5 years in the UK after my first Tier 1 Entrepreneurship application?

the other years was spent on student Visa and Post study work.
Please someone help me here.

You must have been physically present in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands on the day 5 years before the application is received by the Home Office.
thank you :)

Hello
I have a similar question.
Can you please share compilation report format.
I did check with my accountant and he gave me a balance sheet, profit and loss statement and fixed asset schedule.
