Days in and out - Employer letter - ILR

Post by bhanuz3 » Fri Jan 29, 2016 11:46 am

Hello there

i am applying my ILR based on completion of 5 yrs udner Tier 1 General Visa - I have been employed with two employers in last two years. the doubt i have is for Days in and Out Sheet to be referenced - does the employer need to list out my days in and out and then confirm they have been approved ? or a generic statement saying "all absences during the employment with us have been approved and payed for" is enough?

can you all gurus please confirm?

Thanks
Sai

The expectation is employer states details of paid (or unpaid) annual leave including start date and end date (that is not necessarily your in and out dates of the UK). As long as your in/out dates fall within the start/end dates of your annual leave then that's fine.

Many large employers just make a blanket statement such as the employee took annual leave during their employment here without providing exact dates, which is also fine.

Dear O_Relly,
If you are not outside the country, is there any need for an employer to write any letter for the period you worked with them?
Cheers

Nope, the letter of absence requirement is a document required for time spent outside the UK, so No, if you have spent the holiday within the UK.

If you had a valid visa, you need to list ALL absence outside the UK and you can provide 'additional information'.

Dear O_Relly,/CR001
Thank you very much.
Also, is it compulsory to take annual leave in an employment; hence does the employer require to write letter concerning annul leave - when you did not travel outside UK.

@ HarryJones, please see the response already provided. No letter if you have not traveled outside the UK.

The initial response was for time outside the UK.
The new question pertains to annual leave

No. A letter is ONLY required if you have traveled outside the UK on either annual leave or for business.
