NZ immigration forum

Admins:

How about starting a separate forum for New Zealand (under 'immigration to other countries' category)? NZ is a country that attracts a fair number of immigration activity. Currently NZ-related articles get posted under the catch-all category 'other countries', and this is a bit unfair vis-a-vis its importance, immigration-wise.

How about turning the Australia board into a combination forum ..?

Both countries get fairly low activity here, but sort of combining them into an Oceania forum would help while preventing extra clutter.

Any thoughts? Anybody?

I think that is pretty nice idea. Better that than banishing the Kiwis to the rest of the word section.

I think Australia-New Zealand would be a better name.
Oceania includes several other countries, e.g. Vanuatu, Fiji, even Indonesia.

Oceania may still be a good way to regionalize the discussion for the forum. I'll google up the exact countries and decide if we want to do that.

I'll make the changes "soon."

Admin,

I still think 'Oceania' is a bit too general. I don't know of any other country in that region besides Aus and NZ that attracts immigration of the kind we discuss here. Calling the forum 'Australia and New Zealand' is specific and clear. Also, we could potentially confuse some people by the use of the term 'Oceania'.

Having said that, it's your call.
