I applied for my husband's spouse visa in November 2015, iit was refused on 19 January 2016 .

Reason for refusal: Not satisfied relationship is genuine as I only provided 5 month's of WhatsApp chat history along with call records, money transfer receipts and wedding photos.

I then provided full 14 months of WhatsApp chat history and more recent call records.

Solicitor advised he has sent this off to Sheffield again for reconsideration. The appeal has also been lodged in the 10 February.

Can anyone advise what may happen next?

He said along with the appeal he's also sending a reconsideration request and they should reply within a week with their decision.

No idea what to expect now..looks like they just refuse cases based on nothing or any valid reasons.

Salaam, there is no news! I haven't heard anything back yet, I am going to email my MP on Monday (15/02/16 my review deadline) because he said he can only help after this date. So let's see what he can do.

I am really sorry to hear how far away your court date is, its ridiculous. I am in a very similar situation to you too, 2 visa refusals, an appeal for which I don't when I will hear a decision on and I am working & raising 2 year old son on my own too.

I will remember you in my duas, In Sha Allah if you reapply, Allah will grant your husband a visa very very soon.

Hi, it's far too early to contact anybody for an update. Your solicitor should get a date in which your case should be reviewed. You need to be patient.

You should receive a notice of pending shortly, this will have a date on which is essentially the deadline for the ECM to review your case and any grounds of appeal. This is usually around 15 weeks from date of appeal submission. From what members on the forum have been posting it seems that these deadlines are not been adhered to.If the ECM decides to overturn the original decision you will receive a call letter to submit passport. If he decides to uphold the original refusal decision your case will be listed for court. My court hearing date was exactly 1 year after my application was submitted. I've been told that was pretty quick, some people have been waiting much longer for a court hearing
