Confusion over IELTS

Hi folks,,
I am currently living in UK on Tier 2 ICT dependent visa and planning to take up masters here.
I have booked the Academic IELTS by British council and not the UKVI approved one.

Logic being, I don't need to apply for visa Tier 4 visa. Does anyone have information if universities accept the academic IELTS or mandate UNVI one?

That's an academic issue that you need to check with the university, not an immigration matter.
