settelement visa

i spoke to a solicitor and they told me, that i can do a settlement visa,
i am here for almost 8 years and i am i a position that i got a curtailment letter which expires soon, i have been legal till now and wish so in future. i never returned to the home country and not much any relation with anyone there, if i did a settlement visa, any chance for me, on lack of ties

On what grounds is the solicitor suggesting the settlement leave?
