Visa application alterations

I did my application online, sent it off and printed a copy. Now that I have printed a copy I have noticed a couple details that need to be amended. Could I just cross it out and amend it? Or can they help me with this when I go to my appointment at the Visa Center?

Correct it by hand on the printed copy and take with you when you attend your appointment. Obviously this is for small errors.
