Dear members,

I have applied to be Neutralised together with my husband and also to register our 2 children as BC 14 March and I am now thinking if We will receive the approval (if) together for all application or will the decision be send at seperate dates?
I know it might take 6 months or even more to hear from HO but for MN1 I think it's taking a bit long looking at the MN1 Timeline.

Am sure you mean Naturalised.

Children will only be approved, usually, if parents are approved (if children born abroad). Each application is processed and decided individually on its own merits.

Our children were born here. 6 and 4 y old. I hold PR for 1 and half year now.

So If one of us get refused does it mean our children will not be registered as BC?

It will (partly) depend on the option you selected on child's application form.

8.8 [For parents applying for British citizenship at the same time as their child] I still want my child to be registered as a British citizen even if my own application for British citizenship is refused.

Dear members,
We made family application for BC in March 2016.
Today we have received request for residency proof for last 2 years for myself (since I got EEA PR) and also
questionnaire for my husband to say how we supported himself from when his asylum case was refused till time when he received EEA2 card.

We are not sure if we stand any chance to get my husbands AN approved.

Timeline :

Arrived in the Uk 2004, applied for asylum straightaway.
Case refused in 2005 . Then in 2006 he made fresh application. All this time he was studying (NASS suport ) not working.
Then in May 2006 I arrived in the UK and we began our relationship.
I started working in August 2006 then in 2007 we applied for COA to get married.
January 2008 we married.

All this time I was supporting him financially. He was also getting some support from NASS and all time from 2004 till 2008 he was reporting to HO weekly.

Any advice what could we write in covering letter which we gonna sent along with the questionnaire? What proves could we sent? Are my payslips enough? We dont have any NASS documents anymore .

From people experience is there any hope for us? PLs help

when he received EEA2 card first time

As you said you came here in 2006 and doing work here so i mean you was supporting him towards food and accommodation so you have to prove it by your wages slip or bank statement that you have money to support him also write a letter that you was responsible towards his support from 2006 when you came UK
MAKE A STATEMENT AND ATTACH YOUR WAGES SLIP OR BANK STATEMENTS FROM 2006 TO 2009.
It is not verbally should be documentry

Thanks for answer. We will do that. We are worried of that time prior to when I arrived to the Uk as we have no NASS proofs only ceftificates from college ( and to study at college u had to have some sort of leave . He was on Temporary admission).

Hopefully HO will not look at more than 10 years back when making decision.

I was dependant of my father who always received NASS support.

Yes i also sent covering letter explaining everything.

Today our family has received approval from HO.

We were asked to answer questionnaire how my husband supported himself during time he had no valid leave to remain (4 years).
We sent it back to HO last week (along with supporting documents) and today we received approval for both him ,me (EEA) and our 2 kids!

Good luck for everybody waiting, never lose your hope!!!!

i'm on the same boat of your husband,i been illegal for 3 years (2004 -2007)before get married to EEA citizen 2007 i'm willing to apply on 2017 (10 years after my wedding day)

Nothing for before 2006, Just cover letter explaining why.

But,my payslips for period from September 2006, Some bills addressed to me for period when my husband stayed with me before moving to NASS accommodation.

Letter from Home office from 2008 which asked to prove we were in relationship for more than 2 years.

And cover letter.

Doesn't look like , because I started to support my now husband from May 2006.
