Employee time period

Post by shamsthesun » Tue Jul 26, 2016 10:55 pm

Dear All,

I'd employed various employees in last 2 years, based on when business required and each employee last at least 2 months so my question is can I use their aggregate period to claim my points though some periods are without any employees!
For example
01/01/2015 to 31/03/2015 1 full time and 1 part time employee
01/05/2015 to 31/07/2015 1 full time employee
01/10/2015 to 31/12/2015 2 full time employees

I hope, I have put my point in simplest way!
Thanks in advance

If you entered the route after APR 6th 2014 then that employment does not count*. If before then yes it's fine.

*if you had no 'off' periods and just changing employees them maybe you could get a way with replacing employees but for the same job (if it was essentially the same job)

Depends if you are covered by transitional arrangements. If not, you need to create min 12 months of employment for each position

Thanks Zimba
I'd got my visa in Feb-2014 so I hope I fall in transitional arrangements, please confirm
Also if 1 position sustain 4 months each year for 3 years which makes 12 months in totality , is it acceptable to claim point for 1 full time job?
Thanks

Yes, you are covered by transitional arrangements. a position does not need to be continuous so as long as you create 12 months of employment in a position, you are good.
