I asked for an SAR 100 days have passed

Post by seasky » Fri Jul 29, 2016 10:56 am

They are supposed to supply it in 40 days. Email response is boilerplate that they strive to meet as many as possible within 40 days and they prioritise by vulnerability (Children, those in appeal process) and the rest are in a queue.

Anyone else request an SAR and get long delay?

Did you tick all the boxes?

Do you have any reason to be expedited (are you in an aapeal/review process?)

Nearly half a year waiting now. Is there a phone number to the SAR team?

I have also requested SAR and got acknowledgement letter but still within 40 days.

Letter says we can complain to some sort of ombudsman or information department. There should be someone to push HO as 6 months is way too much wait, writing to MP might help.

How does one contact and even find out who is his/her MP (I am obviously not a UK citizen so did not know I have access to an MP...)

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Which address did you use to write to HO to chase them?

What this IT record tells you? I mean what is included in this?

I received my SAR aprox 180 days.

It included a single (!) landing card, when I entered the UK aprox 80 times in the last 5 years. It was these landing cards that was one of the main reasons I asked for SAR.

My single concern for ILR is continuity of my T1 E when I travelled during extension period on another Passport. To clarify while as you can see that I travel very often (1-2X per month) I am easily over the 180 days per year in the UK (especially helps that the entry and exit days are counted as 'in UK')

I guess I just have to -assume- continuity was not broken and go ahead with ILR. My T1 E was extended without reference to any broken continuity.
