LGBT asylum claim

Post by nihad » Sun Aug 28, 2016 1:24 pm

Hello

I'm from Iraq, I'm in relationship wirh british man, we went to few holdays together before I come in to UK and we have load of photos and evidace that we are in relationship and we been working together in Iraq,
he is providing me accommodation here and financial support as well, I'm not claiming anything from home office
I claimed asylum in 2016 Feb here in UK on base of that I'm gay,
I've had my main interview 6 weeks ago

My questions is

is my evidence strong enough to be guaranteed asylum?
and when would I expect a decision from Home office

No one can give you a guarantee on either question.

1. We haven't seen all the evidence you submitted, apart from the fact that you are gay and are from Iraq

2. It's impossible to say how long it will take for a decision, as each case is different.

Evidence that I submitted are:

[*]tenant agreement in Iraq that we been living together
[*]both work contracts that we been working together
[*]two holidays in Turkey in Seychelles, airplane tickets and hotel bookings, pictures that we took there, on one of the holidays my partner's sister was there as well.
[*]I once been attacked because I was with him and I have medical report and doctor confirmation that I have been attacked.
[*]UN member witness statement that I was in relationship with that person

I want to know my chance in percentage

We can't give a "percentage chance". We don't work for HO or know what their inner department processes are.

As a matter of interest, why didn't you apply for an Unmarried Partner visa from Iraq instead of submitting an asylum claim? Or have you not lived together for the required 2 years for a UPV?

Ah! Best continue there then, with far more background. And in the original thread I see the OP & Partner had actually lived together for 2 years in Iraq...in this one it appears not. :|
