Can I work after my placement finished

Post by Bhupal » Sun Aug 28, 2016 1:52 pm

Hi there,

My friend is a Tier 4 student (Master in the Hospitality),studying in the University and through the Uni he is doing a work placement in the 4 star hotel here in UK from Jan 2016 till Dec 2016. His student visa expired on the 06 May 2017.However his work placement is finished on the December 2016.My question is CAN HE STILL WORK IN THE SAME HOTEL AFTER HIS WORK PLACEMENT COMPLETED. Also if he work after a placement will he be breach the Home Office rule or not?

Please advice

You say "His student visa expired on the 06 May 2017", in the past tense.

Do you mean it will expire on the 06.05.17, or it has already expired in May 2016. :?

The dates are not making sense to me, and your explanation isn't helping. I advise your friend checks this himself. The International Student Adviser at his university will understand the specific course as well as the Tier 4 work restriction.
