EU Spouse visa processing time

Post by ijjlian » Thu Nov 17, 2016 5:37 pm

Has anyone recently applied for an EU spouse visa for short-term entry to Ireland? I would like to get an indication of the processing time for this visa.

I have been recently emailed by the Irish authority that it might take long due to increased level of applications. However I thought they are legally binded with a maximum amount of time?

Thanks for help again

Thank you. OMG. Looks like Ireland is as big of a mess as the UK, if not bigger! Having second thought about applying for Irish EU Family visa now.

Entering Ireland with EU-spouse without visa

Post by ijjlian » Thu Nov 17, 2016 7:00 pm

Has anyone tried to enter Ireland from the sea border with the EU-spouse without any visa at all?

This seems to be the most viable option for a "travel" given the current situation with visa processing times.

Thanks again for any input.

Is it possible to change the topic to "Entering Ireland with EU-spouse without visa" ?

Nobody would enter the topic to respond to the questiopn at hand with the current title.

Did you get any information about when your decision would be made.

@Topcat72 No sorry, they're not answering my questions when I email them. It's always that they received my application on 8th of August 2015. It's really annoying. I applied in the Irish consulate where in Manila on 31st of July 2015.

@topcat or anyone. My wife was theogdens. We got our visa today so around 18/19 months wait from application. I hope you don't have to wait that long, or anyone.

Good luck

Thanks for the update. We are in a different situation. My wife came here on visit C Visa. It took 2 month to get as she had beed here before.

We got married during this visit (June 2016) and now we are waiting for permission to stay. They said it would take 9-12 months. But at least she is with me.

I wish i did that after 8 months of wait and a chance of refusal should have done the visit route at least answer would be in 2 months and one could plan something else if it was refused.

No, you cant, without visa your only option is an article 10 card, but for that you have to be in the EU already, if you want to know more read my topic (cheapes-quickest self suffiency resident card in EU), i always update it, my wife is from the Philippines, in the topic you can see what thoughts crossed my mind and how was it sorted.
