Improving CSR score - job?

Hi

As a seasoned HR professional I hoped that my skills/ experience would have got me a higher score but I have a miserable 300 CSR score and after looking at the historical data I appear to have no chance of getting in, unless I get a job

Others on this site say that it takes 6 months to process a Permanent Resident application, so I'm wondering why a Canadian employer would wait that long to sponsor someone in the Express Entry pool.

It just seems a bit strange - does it really take 6 months to process if you can prove you have a job?
