Need help with UK Visa!

Hello Folks,

One of my friend who is based in India has been offered a Job by one of the leading banks in the UK. He has been told that he should come to UK by applying for his own visa and flight tickets.

Now, I need some guidance on how he can apply e.g.

a) The type of visa that he need to apply.
b) The documents that he need to submit.


Any help on this is highly appreciated.

Is someone having a laugh? What reputable bank would be so unaware of visa process.
A friend pre-selected for a job in UK is not going to get far.
Suggest s/he doesn't bother packing bags just yet.

Is employer a licensed PBS sponsor?

If intending to work for a bank s/he is presumably IT-literate so would be advised to register here first and ask own questions.

Relax. You haven't even explained if the bank that offered you this job is a licensed sponsor. So noone can really help or advise.

If a sponsor they will know what is required. COS/RLMT & etc.
If not then the job is just a pipedream.

1. Bank needs to be a licenced sponsor

2. Local/EU people given priority

3. Bank organises visa not applicant

4. UK Banks have stringent credit checks, usually doesn't favour foreign applicants who's UK provenance cannot be proven

5. Whole thing smells fishy

6. Suggest you tell your 'friend' he's being taken for a ride.
