Spouse Visa from Pakistan - Info required

Hi All,

Can someone please guide me the full process of applying spouse visa from Pakistan.

My friend is a British citizen and married and her wife lives in Pakistan so he wants to apply for spousal visa for her.
What exactly is the process please .. Any guidance please.

Does she needs to pass any english test if yes then what exactly is that or any link that will help us.


What form we have to fill in to help him in that process .. and also what documents are required from his side and from Pakistan as well.


I heard that anyone comes in UK has to pay NHS fees as well if yes then does this includes in visa fees or do we have to pay seperately.

Documents from Pakistan:
> IELTS English Language A1 Speaking and Listening Test Report Form from an approved provider
> NADRA marriage certificate
> TB test

Submit Online Visa Application form and pay visa fee + NHS surcharge online.

Print online visa application form, applicant to sign and send to Sheffield office with supporting all documents including those from Pakistan listed above.

Hi EXPERTS,

HOW CAN WE CHECK STATUS OF APPLICATION.
MY FRIEND IS A BRITISH CITIZEN AND RECENTLY GOT MARRIED IN PK AND APPLIED FOR SPOUSE VISA LAST WEEK.

WE ARE BIT STRUGGLING IN TRACKING THE APPLICATION.

IS THERE ANYWAY TO TRACK THE STATUS OF THE APPLICATION.

HE HAS ONLY GOT AN EMAIL FROM SHEFFIELD THAT APPLICATION HAVE BEEN RECEIVED.

CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP

Does make sense.
I was going through some timeline message which everyone has posted and ppl frm Pakistan are mentioned whole steps of application like application reached to Sheffield then document received at Sheffield, assigned to ECO, waiting for ECO to look at the case, decision taken [ so not sure who they are tracking this whole information step by step].



Though we have got an email that application have been received at Sheffield office but we cannot find anything where we can get above information.

As far as I am aware, there is no 'tracking website' to get updates. The updates members post are from calling to follow up or generic emails they receive.

I dont think UKBA/UKVI is just 'there' yet i.e. they dont have a website where you can "track" your application (like "track" a delivery from amazon) - dont think there is any such service.

I am waiting for my wife's visa application result and have used what I like to refer as a very useless service:https://ukvi-international.faq-help.com/
You can try that - but I must warn you these guys provide conflicting information to people like you and me.
