ILR dependent visa type and english test question

Post by DBK » Tue Jan 03, 2017 11:44 pm

Hi Gurus

I am on T2G now and applying for ILR on 10 yrs Route on 1st of Feb.

1. My wife got T2G dependent visa which we need to convert to my ILR dependent, My understanding was that we use FLR(M) for her but reading this link should we use FLR FP instead?https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... -12-16.pdf
2. we are planning to apply her visa either same day with couple of hours difference or within FEB what English test does she have to pass?

Thank you in advance

There is no 'ILR Dependent' named visa. It is a SPOUSE SETTLEMENT VISA.

FLR(M) is the correct form.

FLR(FP), a 10 year route to ILR, is ONLY applicable if you DO NOT meet the financial requirement for FLR(M)

What is the link you provided makes you believe it is FLR(FP)??

Hi thank you for responding,
I meet the financials requirement. I read this on the link and got me confused.
You must not use this form to make an application for an extension of stay in the following categories:
 On the 10-year Partner or dependent child routes under Appendix FM of the Immigration Rules. You must complete form FLR(FP).
Also is it b1 English test or something else pls

That quote has nothing to do with you applying for ILR based on long residence if that is how you interpreted it. Your spouse uses FLR(M).

A1 English test for spouse visa applied for before 1 May 2017. After this date it is A2 required.

Your passport and ILR proof?
Letter from your employer and contract?

Think you will need a few more items of cohabitation. Read page 65/66 of the FLR(M) form, it tells you what HO expect to see.

Thank you CR001

Yea my pp and ilr proof,

Is letter from employer and contract necessary? As I have provided payslip and bank statements cause I have given notice to quit work already and I'm not sure if they would be happy to write letters, I never had contact,

My salary is above what is required and I have good amount of saving as well as hers will that help?

As for co Hab I can probably get letter from Gp on joint names, I have several other letters which are on our separate names but same address

This would be fine.

You should probably have waited to quit your job until after the spouse visa is granted. Most applicants submit a one page letter from employer stating the important information.
