Ireland join family visa applied from India

I am my two kids applied Ireland join family D type visa on Feb 29th 2016.till now we did not get the status yet.our application has been forwarded to the Delhi embassy on on march 1st 2016.

There is currently a delay of more than 8,000 applications, with some people waiting for more than a year.

Is this happening in Delhi embassy.

It is mostly for family visa applications from India and Pakistan but not sure if only C visas or D visas too.

If you check the INIS web page they say this are the processing times:

"If the sponsor is an Irish citizen:
We aim to process your application within 6 months after we receive all your necessary documents.

If the sponsor is a person who is entitled to apply for immediate family reunification:
We aim to process your application within 6 months after we receive all your necessary documents.

All other sponsors
We aim to process your application within 12 months after we receive all your necessary documents."

Is you sponsor and Irish citizen or from any country of the Europen Union?

My partner is an Irish citizen, my application was recieved in the Dublin office on july 7th 2016, so i hope to get an answer in two more months... I've read that the delays are only with "c" visas but not sure, there are people complaining about "d" visas waiting timesanyway too. Anyway, last year i applied for the same visa and it only took 1 month (i applied september 1 and got a reply september 28)! Didnt use it and was confident this time was going to be fast too but no.. i think i was just lucky that time.
My application was sent from Colombia to the Irish embassy in Mexico and from there to Dublin.
I hope we get a reply soon!

Me and my husband both r Indians .dont know why they r
delaying.we applied on Feb 29th 2016.forwarded to the Delhi embassy on march 1st.they asked p60 for 2014 on April 2016.we sent the same.again they asked work permit in may.again asked the work permit on July 26th 2016.
My husband have stamp4 visa.
They r saying it's a general delay.some back ground check is going on.dont know the end.

hi there, did your husband apply himself or by a solicitor?
because i heard now-a-days they are delaying cases with solicitor, don't know why
what documents you provided to embassy?

I applied through vfs ,Hyderabad from India.our applications are processing in Delhi.they are creating mental torture.we submitted all the documents.wantedly they r doing all this delay.

List of the documents we submitted are
P60 for 2014 and 2015
Work permit (even though husband on stamp 4 )
Last 6 months bank statement
Last 3 months payslips
Utility bills
Passport Xerox
Marriage certificate
My kids birth certificates
PPS
Garda card Xerox
Police clearance certificate
Offer letter

Planning to contact lawyer..anybody have same situation.

Contacting a lawyer will do nothing other than cost you money at he moment.

My wife applied on the 1st of Augst, 2015. No third party, not even from the indian sub continent and we're still waiting. Just be patient, it'll happen.

Why would it make a difference?

I applied for long stay join spouse too waiting 4 months now.

How long it took for your case?
