To Langtababa,

I have four conviction with court.3 of them in 2011 and one in 2012. two for speeding.two for parking ticket. 3 of them I paid fine in court and one case dissmissed by judge.I mentioned all 4 incident while I apply. I provide 3 of the fine court recipt with my application. but I didn't put the proof of the case which was dismissed by judge.as you see my application it's still going in right track I think as they didn't ask me for anything. but it might delay my file bcoz of this court incident. did ur friend got any letter from citz.did he got second stage letter? did he mentioned about court issue while he applied?

Just a piece of advice, Whoever is married to an EU citizen and waiting for citizenship approval, Must get EUFAM3 10 years stamp and send them an updated copy of visa an GNIB card. Guys they are not moving your file any further unless you get approval for EUFAM3 stamp first.

In my case, i applied Feb 2016 and my file stayed on initial stage till August 2016. The reason, i was waiting to hear from EU Treaty Right section, i got my EUFAM3 stamp in August 2016 and sent them a copy of my updated visa, as soon they got copy of my visa they moved me to 2nd stage. I was hoping to get approval before November ceremony but did not get any.

Citizenship department sent me a letter in early December 2016 and asked for the copy of updated GNIB, which i should have sent them in August 2016.

So based on my experience, they will not move you file until you send them updated visa and most importantly copy of GNIB.

Note: while i was waiting for EUFAM 3 stamp, i got temporary 3 months stamp couple of times from my local immigration office and sent a copy of temporary visa and gnib card to citizenship department each time, but it did not help my file to move any further.
!) Application date 19 Feb 2016, Based on 5 year residency, Spouse of EU
!) First letter 16 March 2016 - further letter 15 April 2016 asked for additional letter.
!) 2nd stage letter on August 2016

I m agree with you.i got Eu-3 on August but didn't extend my visa yet..il extend it on 19th Jan caz they already asked for my updated GNIB as well as visa page..
Well my file did move second stage but it's like it's being prepared for minister..
I believe once give them update by 19th Jan they will give decisions and you can be right they do not look for temporary extension instead they looking for proper visa like Eu-3..

There is two ways u can get temporary visa..if the GNIB office says he cant give you extension ,try to talk to his supervisor and explain him that u will lose job over it..
In dublin many application gets it caz EU-3 is delaying to issue letter and not ur fault..
and explain to him that ur job requires a update visa to continue or else if CITZ send any letter for update show it to them and might give u a temporary visa..
I got email from CITZ they said they currently issuing approval and will do so over the coming weeks..
when did u apply for eu3 did they send u an acknowledgment?
if so u can use this too for temporary extention
good luck
