Tier 2 General to Tier 4 dependant

Hi,
I'm currently on Tier 2 General visa, my husband is my dependant.
My visa would be expired soon, and I might not be able to extend it.
He would like to take a Masters course and switch to Tier 4, we understand that he has to go back to home country to switch his visa.
What about me? Can I switch to his dependant in the UK after he got his visa on Tier 4

Yes, if his course is at least 12 months long.
