Financial Requirement for FLRm

Asking for a friend.
Main applicant on Tier 1 Enter - 2013-2016
Wife on tier 1 dependent - 2014-2016.
Son born in uk Aug 2015.
Son applies tier 1 entr dependent from outside the uk in Jan 2016. Given 4 months visa in line with main applicant.
April 2016 - main applicant and dependent apply for extension. no leave applied for son.
jan 2017 - Main applicant gets ilr on LR.
Jan 2017 - son MN1 reg applied.
Now going to apply for wife flr m.
Question is regarding financial requirement. Whether it is 18600 or 22400.

The financial requirement that you must meet will vary according to the number of child dependants being sponsored for leave to remain in the UK including those who are not part of this application, for these purposes ‘child’ is a dependant who is under the age of 18, or was under the age of 18 years when they were first granted entry under this category. You must also take into account any child dependants under the age of 18 that your sponsor is already sponsoring in the UK.
• Children who are British Citizens or not subject to UK immigration control do not need to be
considered when calculating the financial requirement.
• Children who are applying for leave as part of this application and are subject to UK
immigration control must be considered when calculating the financial requirement you must
meet.

Even though the child has applied for MN1 reg, he is not british yet. But since he does not have a current leave, he is also not on a visa. Having said that, he did briefly had a leave to remain for 4 months when the kid left the country to visit granparents.

Does the financial requirement state that the salary should be maintained for 6 months?
Since the main applicant gets paid through limited company, he could increase his salary anytime. Would it be worth increasing the salary now and applying next month with higher salary or does it have to maintained for 6 months?

He or spouse has to show that they meet the requirement with 6 months payslips and bank statements. If he has lower or varying amounts, HO will take the lowest value payslip to base their calculation on.

If the wife has extended her PBS dependent visa, when does this expire? Might be worth waiting to apply for FLR(M) till the child is BC, provided wife has not travel plans out of the UK.
