applying for extension of leave to Remain for mother

Hello All,

My parents got Leave to Remain in UK for 2 and a half years based on my father's ill health. He has now passed away and I need to apply for my mother's extension for Leave to Remain in UK. My mother is 75 years old and there is no one to take care of her in India and also she is very ill now.

My Q is do I need to hire a lawyer to file this extension or can I do so myself as they charge around £1500?
Does anyone know which form I need to fill out please?

What visa were they initially issued? I am presuming that it is not an Adult Dependent relative (ADR) visa, as that is typically ILR from the start.

Was your mother issued a visa as the spouse of your father, or the visa was issued under private or family life?

Sorry for the late reply as I was ill. My mother got visa under private family life( Article . So, my question is which form do I need to fill now for applying for my mother's visa extension?
