Work trip to Europe

Post by killamangiro » Wed Feb 15, 2017 3:23 pm

Hi there,

I'm a camera person on a Ancestry Visa in the UK. I've been asked to go to Europe for 3 days to shoot an event for my UK based work. Do I need a work permit for this?

That depends; the countries of Europe do not have a common approach to work such as this. If it's counted as a photo shoot on location (for instance) then most countries allow that without a work permission of any kind.

In my experience the only country in the EU which views a studio shoot as a possible threat to their workforce is the UK. Even the UK allows location shoots without a work permission.

OP is asking about visas for other European countries, not UK.
