ielts score.. is it enough?

HI Guys,

I have got Ielts overall band of 7.
but in writing i got 5.5, reading 6.5, listening/speaking 7.5

Can i apply for australian immigration? or atleast 6 is needed in each section to apply?

Moreover, my degree is in MODL i.e. electrical engineering

Hi,

You need to score 6 on each of the 4 papers (reading, writing, listening, speaking) in the General test in IELTS.

but one of my friends was saying that if the profession is in modl then 5.5 in one of the ielts modules is fine as well...

do u have any idea about the above info?

Hi,

As your nominated occupation is "Electrical Engineer" you should score at least six (6) on each of the four (4) components – speaking, reading, listening and writing.
