ILR VALID UNTIL & FLR

I am a British citizen and my husband is applying for ILR. He got his Spouse Visa on June 9th 2008. He eneterd UK on 28th June 2008. His 2 years will be completed on June 28th 2010 but his visa runs out on 9th June 2010.

Technically we can apply on 1st June 2010 and that will be within the 28 days period. We plan to apply in person.

I just need to know wether we need to apply for an extension FLR?

Your help is appreciated.

No need to apply for extension as your husbands visa is still valid when you plan to apply for ILR.
If there are no problems then the ILR will be issued same day

Just make sure that you get an appointment at peo well in time.

no your husband needs to pass test as soon as possible

Its harder to get an appointment at PEO than to do the Life Test.
I'd say do them the same time,PEO first as its hard,Simple!

If you are sure that KOL test pass would be possible before your due date then quickly get appt for PEO.

When my wife took her KOL test there were 35 applicants only 10 passed.
People think the test is easy and don't study the material and fail.
Much better to pass test first then get appointment

Its actually a very simple test. The only thing that you need to memorise is the figures. Like the percentage of children in single parent family or percentage of ethnic minorities etc etc. Rest all is basic. Like where do you apply for NI number etc etc.

I did my KOL last year. Took me 5 minutes to do the test and I passed first time.

Dont want to sound rude but if someone cant pass a KOL test then that means they have no idea whatsoever about UK

It is not a difficult test but the study material has TOOO MUCH information to retain.

Anyhow, I tried to book an appointment online but apparently there are NO appointments for the week of 31/5 in Croydon.

Any suggestions?

Well some reporters have written articles stating that the information required is far too specialised and the knowledge is beyond a born and bred Brit.He scored 57% first time he took the test without previous study

The best way to prepare is just to get the booklet which has just questions and possible answers. No point going through the books which have lengthy notes about everything.

My husband passed the test. Now we cannot find any bookings for the week of 31/5. Is it possble to apply on 28/5 as his 28 day period only starts on 1st June. PLEASE HELP

No point submitting before the due date, as the application will simply be refused.

I just called and they said the same thing. We will wait a few days to see if there any appts available. If not I guess we will go for postal.

I had to do hard work to get an appointment. I checked many times a day, and I finally found one. And as you think, go for postal if you cant get appt. You will save couple of bobs too with postal.

I am checking all day in hopes of finding an apointment. We still have the rest of April and all of May to wait and see if we can get an apointment. If not then we will go for postal obviously but we would rather spend a few more and get it over with on the same day instead of waiting for so long.
