Does the referee signatures “expireâ€

Post by SunBlue » Mon Jan 10, 2011 8:56 am

My referees signed the relevant section on the 7th Jan 2011, and I plan to apply on the 11th April 2011. I would like to know if this is alright or will it be too late?
I don’t want to bother them again and again for that.
Thanks for the advice.

My other alternative is:
If my partner (German) naturalizes British asap, can I apply for mine with only his naturalization certificate (and not the passport)?

I will qualify then as I have been in the UK for more than 5 years and hold Permanent Residence under EEA regulations.
I just need to know if I can apply with his certificate or if I have to wait for his passport to be ready (I wouldn't like to wait a few weeks more for it).

Thanks!

I don't think that signatures expire. British passports are optional.

Thanks Vinny, Your help is pretty much appreciated!
I was just worried that I would have to wait my partner to have a British passport before I can apply, as it's written "everywhere" to include spouse or partner's passport or birth certificate - not mentioning naturalization certificate.

So we will send the documents for him first thing tomorrow morning and as soon as he attends the ceremony I will send my application then (with his naturalization certificate).
