Australia and NZ query

Hi,
I am new member and I need some clarity on my doubt.
I am senior IT professional with more than 4 years experience in IT Software analyst/developer role.
I am interested in immigrating to australia/NZ as skilled professional.
My job is present in SOL list and according to http://www.workpermit.com/australia/point_test.htm
I qualify for australia

However I have a doubt of my qualification
I have non Australia 4 years Bachelors engineering degree in Electronics while my work experience is in IT field. One private consultant told me that my qualification should be in sync with my work experience to get the points
Is it true? Please guide me as I am really disappointed
