1. A straight forward application should not take longer than the normal hours.
2. If your application is complicated (gaps, absences, lack of evidence, adverse immigration history, etc) then you might not get a decision on the same day.
3. All down to your application to be honest..........

Another question is: does anyone know the differences between UKBA offices? Croydon vs Brimingham etc

It can take anything up to 6 hours if they are very busy, in some cases like me when i went to PEO Solihul it only took around 45 minutes for the decision and another hour and half to pick up my passport. Solihull Peo is better than all other peos as they dont charge you before granting the visa

really? i was thinking the process should all be the same for all PEOs. Good info though.

if you search previous posts here you will see 99% people suggesting Solihull peo. The staff is friendly, good atmosphere not intimidating
