As far as Im aware, they only require proof of treaty rights of the EEA family member. The non-EEA is entitled through the EEA partner. I have only sent documents for my EEA partner and only my passport from my side. They haven't asked me yet for anything ( after 9.5 months) but that may mean that my application is still "under consideration"

I believe they wanted me (as spouse) to prove I was in the country during the 5 years to qualify for Indefinite Leave to Remain.

hi to all,
I also got my PR stamp on my passp on the 16th of jan 2010 after 15.5 month, (without formal complaints submitted) the record i believe huh.... thank you for the help in the forum.

I applied in Sept 2008 and was asked for more docs in november 2009. I sent them tax records for the last 6 years for both me and spouse and couple of tenancy agreements for the last year or so. No joint bank statements as didn't have any, since trying to keep the names separate for credit score reasons.

I will be trying to apply for naturalization to British Citizen without waiting for a year in grounds that I am supposed to have automatic right of residence (indefinite) since sept 2008. Will let you know how that goes

once again, wish everyone who is waiting good luck...

Hi All,

Good news, today I received my documents back with the PR affixed to my passport.

To give an insight.

• I applied for PR on the 20/08/2009
• COA a week letter
• I requested my passport back to travel in December
• Home office called me 18 of Feb informing that my application was successful and requesting passport back.
• I sent the passport on the 19th of Feb
• All documents back today with PR

Next: In 3 months time will start the naturalisation process

I would like to share with you my experience. After 4.5 years in UK with a French husband I made an application for ILR in end March 2011 Just received passports back yesterday wtih the stamps. So it took about 2 months. The only thing is my husband rang last week and told them he needed his French passport to travel and why are they keeping it. He was told that they will return it in 10 days. Then to our surprise they sent back all the passports with the stamps. We thought it will take 6 months like many other people.
Hope this can be of some help.
