Maintenance Funds

Post by chad1984 » Sun Jun 19, 2011 6:34 pm

Hello,

I am confused in the particular wording on the TIER 4 application guide:

A Tier 4 (General) student must show that he/she has held the required money for a consecutive 28 day period (finishing on the date of the closing balance) ending no more than 1 month before his/her application

The money must sit in my account for 28 days before I apply? What if my parents are giving me the money and just transfered it? So I have to wait 29 days?

no. You have to wait 28 days as per my answer to your post above unless your parents had the funds for 28 days before transferring it to you in which case you'll need their bank statements, a letter confirming they are supporting you and your birth certificate. Try reading the tier 4 policy guidance.
