Travelling on a temporary stamp 4?

Post by ciaramc » Sat Jul 30, 2011 7:28 pm

My husband has to travel to his home country in the next couple of days - he just received his temporary stamp 4 while they are processing his documents for EU1? His stamp is valid until November can he travel on this ? And come back in 1 months time?

Can anyone tell me if my husband needs a re-entry visa? and if so how long would it take to get?

This is what I found on the citizens advice website? Seems to say he can travel -

If you are not a citizen of one of the countries listed above, you will need a visa when you travel to Ireland. See “How to applyâ€

ok thought so - as he only has stamp 4 he needs the visa - so is it easy to get? He just goes to Burgh Quay? Do you have to pay for it?
