Electronics or IT Skill Assessment?

Hello,

I am sure that these kind of questions were asked before thousand times but I wonder about my situation. I have B.Sc. and M.Sc. on Electrical-Electronics Engineering. In addition I have success on electronics. My work experience is about 90% on IT at my current job. Also my total work experience is about 3,5 years on IT. I have not changed my job.

Now I wonder if I can get assessment from Engineers Australia as an electrical or electronics engineer. Do they count electronics and IT as closely related occupations? Or I have no chance assessing my skills on electronics? I guess better we consider new changes on immigration law.
