IELTS

My Chinese wife have just got her IELTS Cambridge result back i wanted to know do she pass the English requirement level for a settlement visa to the UK?

And are these scores good or low for English level in the UK

Listening 6
Reading 7
Writing 5
Speaking 5.5

Total score 6

If your wife done level B1 or B2 IELTS she has passed and will be accepted.

She took a A1 English level test, so do that mean it's a weak level in IELTS? we read on the settlement visa in July 2011 a A1 is accepted as long it was one of the Cambridge test centers in China.

So do this mean because she didn't do a B1 IELTS we fail?, So when did my UK government change the level of the test to B1 or B2. in two months law :( that's going to be a problem with many students passing the A1 test to study this year :shock:

She has exceeded level A1 with an overall IELTS band score of 6. In fact that is level B2, so you have nothing to worry about.

The current rules only require level A1 of the CEFR.
