ILR for work permit dependant

Hi there,

I am currently on 5 year Work permit visa that expires on 05/10/2012. So I can apply for Settlement visa 4 weeks prior to 05/10/2012. But my wife got “Dependent visa on Work Permit” on 01/05/2012 and she entered UK on 17/06/2012 and her visa expires on 05/10/2012 (same as mine). My question is can I include her as dependent on my SET(O) application? So that I get Settlement visa and she gets Dependent visa for other 2 years, after which she can apply for Settlement visa. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks for your time and help.

Thanks for the reply. But why does not 2 year qualifying period apply to Work permit dependant as in normal cases.
