English Language

Post by drmax_1 » Tue Jan 08, 2013 8:04 pm

My wife is planning to apply for settlement visa from Chennai this Friday.

Her Bachelors degree is recognized on the UKBA Points Calculator as meeting the English Language Requirement.

The UKBA website guidance for Partners (Para 4.3) says that the calculator contains information from NARIC UK as to which academic qualifications they deem to have been taught to the standard of a Bachelors or Masters or PhD in the UK. and caseworkers may find this helpful in deciding whether a qualification meets the criteria for English Language requirement.

It also goes on to say if the degree cannot be found on the points calculator a NARIC certificate will be required.

Is this sufficient or do we still need a NARIC certificate confirming the degree was taught in English? Please advice friends.
