I would guess that you should hand over the original, a certified translation (able to get this through a reputable source such as Ministry of Foreign Affairs, embassies, 3rd party companies if they seem trustworthy etc) and a photocopy of each meaning 4 documents in total including (2 original and 2 photocopies.)
They are also picky about their certified translations - the translator/translating company would have to provide their company details, contact details, date translated, name of translator and confirmation that it is an accurate translation signed by the translator. Something like that should cover it
If you are not in the UK you require:
• Your original documents
• A fully certified translation of all your documents by a professional translation company
• Written confirmation that this is indeed a precise translation of your original document
• The date the translation was carried out
• The translators full name and signature or that of an authorised official from the translation company
• Contact details for the certificate translator company who completed the translation
