Overseas India Citizen - Daughter

Post by coolrock » Mon Jul 08, 2013 11:58 am

Hello,

I am planning to apply for OCI card for my daughter. I got my british Citizenship and British passport earlier this year.

I was an Indian Citizen before that. In order to apply OCI card for my daughter, who was born in the UK holding a british passport, can I show her birth Certificate as proof?

Thanks,

Yes, BC as proof is fine.

Btw - Do you currently hold an OCI? If not, your daughter can't apply for OCI on her own until you get yours. She can apply for PIO though.

Sorry ignore my prev post

The eligibility criteria says that one of the parents should be elgible to get OCI for a minor applicant. Since I am eligible now, can i not combine my daughter's OCI application with mine?
