from PSW to Tier5

Post by mariamuk » Sat Oct 22, 2011 12:31 pm

Hello
I am currently waiting for the reply from a rated sponsor about charity work in London.
Two questions: can I apply from the UK (if I am already here) ?

and I have only two years before 10 years rule - will these two years count towards the lawful stay visa after 10 yrs?

Thank you!

Someone with your status can't switch into this from inside the UK and it will 12 months rather than the two years you have mentioned.

But if next year I will accepted to September intake for MBA or PhD I can just switch right?

And as I remember 10 years on any basis, including Tier 5 ...

I just dont want to lose this year for continuous stay

Thank you

If you are granted Tier 5 leave (outside the UK) you can't, later, switch into Tier 4. You will have to leave the UK to apply for leave to enter.

Does this also apply to applying for tier 5 leave to enter after being in the UK as a visitor (student or academic)? How long will it take to apply again?

I don't understand your question. Furthermore, whatever you are trying to day does not seem relevant to the original question about switching inside the UK.

So what, exactly, is your question? What do you want to do?

my question is how long should one wait to apply for a tier 5 visa after leaving the UK with a visitor visa? as one can not apply for or switch to tier 5 within the UK. i am just wondering whether one has to wait for 6 months before applying for another type of visa?

There is no mandatory wait time. You can apply as soon as you are ready to do so.
