Urgent Advice Needed

Post by golekipro » Sat Dec 21, 2013 4:08 pm

HI,

My PSW is expiring in April 2014, I have asked my employer to apply for my extension. they work via an agency for visas and other UKBA processes. My HR has told me that it will take upto 3-6 months to complete entire process. Which is a long time. Does anyone know what possible reason could be. They have already increased my salary based on the fact that I needed more for my COS.

the likely reason for the long timescale is that your employer doesn't have a T2G sponsor licence as yet

Dear Manci,

Many thanks for your response. they do have license and they are A rated sponsor, they sponsored previously a few employees.

for the RLMT they have to advertise for 28 days but apart from that there is nothing that would justify the long timescale given. Make sure that they genuinely want to sponsor you and if not look for another sponsor.

Do they also need to advertise the post if I am already in UK, working for the company from the past 1 and half year

if you have T1 PSW leave when you apply RLMT is not needed

Many Thanks Manci, yes I have PSW.

My employer confirmed that they will sponsor me, they agreed to give me a pay rise in order to match visa requirements. However they are forwarding my case to a solicitor who deals with all visa matters for the company, they asked me for all basic details such as passport number address etc. I called HR and they replied that I should just wait now as the process can take up to 3-4 months. So i am bit concened that why so long

The extra time could be due to internal organisation processes and liaising with third part (immigration lawyers etc.).

You need to wait it out.
