Hi All,

I am looking to take up job in UAE. Whats it like being an expat in UAE? What visa should i apply for ? Ive been told to travel there on visit visa, then apply for work permit in UAE? are they right?

Received my ceremony letter today for 20th may.

End of a long journey! I can proudly say i am a british citizen whoop! Its been hard, but i got there in the end!

Finally my approval has arrived!!!

Applied on 9th december
Payment was taken just under two weeks
Confirmation letter straight after
Approval in the post on 07/05/15 (dated 05/05/2015)
Waiting on Ceremony letter

Ive Applied at the beginning of december. Up unitil now its been under consideration! Called today and asked why it takes such long time as some of applicants received their reply within 3 weeks. Answer to this was that its unfortunate. Most cases are dealt that quick, some wait. However the wait ...

I have also applied i first week of december and still waiting for my results.
EEA PR CARD with + 1 qualifyig year as per PR CARD.
Called twice to HO , but still under consideration\!!!!

My case should have been straight forward. Strange!
