Re: 10 years long residence applications

Thanks I will email them.

The settlement check service called the home office and the home office confirmed he is eligible.

The settlement check service then made a note on our documents to say they called home office who confirmed eligibility.

Re: pre july 2012 PBS dependants - Petition

I just wonder whether homeoffice will honour what the said on telephone :( Let's see if amber or any other member can shed some ...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

My understanding is that 6th April rules apply to all ILR(LR) dependants regardless they are on PBS or not. If you think Tier 2 dependants prior to July 2012 are exempt from this, then your husband would have got 2 years visa on his FLR(M) visa rather than 2.5 years ? Probably it would be good to ...

We had our appointment at settlement checking service and calls to the home office confirmed my partner is eligible even double checked with a manager. I'm wondering if there is some grey area. Re: 10 years long residence applications

Thanks for your message. So do they (Settlement check service) check whether SET(M) is the right application to apply for ILR ? Do they also see whether you have qualified for ILR or not ? eg- ILR(LR) dependants have to now wait for for 5 years regardless whether they came before July 2012 or not ...

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Hi

If you are using form set m then you can use the checking service and they will prepare everything for your peo appointment.

They also offer the postal option as you mentioned.

I'm not sure which other applications they offer the service for.

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Hi Spartacus,

Do you know whether all letters say 2 years and then it depends on the brp?

I used a solicitor for flr m and when I asked about the letter saying 2 years, the solicitor said that everyone gets that letter because the home office are using an old letter.

Re: 10 years long residence applications

Hi gameofluck.

It's certainly confusing.

We want to take the chance and see what the outcome will be.

It's my understanding that we will only lose the 100pound booking fee if we are not eligible to apply - is this correct?

I will be sure to keep all updated on our experience.

Hi amber

Thanks for reply.

If the letter states two years does it mean it was considered old rules but brp new rules? It's slightly confusing.

I'm wondering if the two do contradict maybe we could explain at peo?
