Re: Consequences of withdrawing an appeal

I received confirmation today from my solicitor that I have been granted Indefinite Leave to Remain. It takes longer but it works and the VISA is free.

Congrats to me!

Re: Appeal allowed 3 mths ago and yet no response from UKBA!

I got positive outcome at both hearings. HO challenged the FTT decision which led me to UT and I was advised to add new grounds for the UT hearing since I had completed 10 yrs by then. I have been on 3c leave since my visa renewal was not successful and I opted not to withdraw the appeal in order to ...

Re: Appeal allowed 3 mths ago and yet no response from UKBA!

My Tier 2 extension was refused as I relied on my previous COS and my sponsor licence had since expired too. My UT appeal was allowed due to the fact that I completed my 10 years lawfully stay in the UK in Jan 2015.

Appeal allowed 3 mths ago and yet no response from UKBA!

Hey Guys My appeal was allowed on 10 Mar 2015 and neither me nor my solicitor has heard anything from the home office since. I emailed HO/MP last Thursday, still no reply! I have been without my passport for a year already and wonder how long before I'll see it again. Any advice how I can get an ...

Re: Urgent help please! 5 months for ILR 10 year rule

You made both FLR applications before the expiration of your valid leave. So, you'll also get a right of appeal in case the FP application fails. For now, you can simply wait for the outcome of the second application (FP) before taking any further action. I hope you get a positive response this time ...

Yes you can request for your subject access record from the home office. It currently costs £10 and takes about 40 days to be processed.

Re: Consequences of withdrawing an appeal

Dear gurus, can you please help with the query below. I had my determination today from UT and the judge set aside the decision of FTT and remade the decision by allowing it under paragraph 276B of the immigration rules since I now qualify for this route. Here is an extract from this letter and I ...

Re: Changing sponsorship

It might be a good idea to take a look at your employment contract to see if you're legally binded by this condition 'training cost payback'. If it's not there, then you can't trouble you for not paying. You can legally work for your current employer until the start date of your latest CoS. If you ...

I'm with you, Obie. Thanks for the words of encouragement. I'll try to avoid in getting into conversations about holidays. Can I be cheeky to ask for your opinion on this post http://www.immigrationboards.com/indefinite-leave-to-remain/apply-for-ilr-lr-or-extend-t2g-then-apply-for-ilr-5-yrs-t179967 ...

Thanks again Obie. As you can understand, the wait is killing me day by day and I'm really getting desperate for all of this to be over as soon as possible. I understand from others' experiences that this is indeed a very lengthy process (How stupid of me to land myself in this situation!). Should I ...

Re: Complicated case, please help!

Did you include an employment letter with contact details in your application bundle?

You can also email the home office (public.enquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk) about the takeover. The case worker will pick up the email even although he/she is unlikely to reply back.

I believe that the UK diploma can be used to satisfy the English language requirement but you can double check it using the PB calculator.
