Re: WAITING TIME FOR COA

Good question Saori. My COA was also delayed, though not nearly as long as yours, and I assumed that the 6-month period was from when they received the application and/or took payment, but elsewhere I read that it is from when you get your COA. Not sure if others have clearer info on this?

Re: EEA2 Application Timelines - ONLY 1 TOPIC - UpToDate

Is there an official policy on when it's acceptable to inquire about a COA? I saw on one post that there seems to be a 15 day expected turn-around time after biometrics have been registered, but not sure if that means that beyond 15 days is considered to be excessively long. It has been 18 working ...

Re: EEA2 Application Timelines - ONLY 1 TOPIC - UpToDate

If you applied as FM (married, civil partner, dependent children, etc.) then you only receive your biometric letter first, and you have to enrol your biometrics before they send you the CoA. If you applied as EFM (unmarried partner and other extended family) then you receive both at the same time ...

Re: Clarification on COA w/o right to work for unmarried par

Thank you both for the replies. Yes, my FP is good until mid-December 2015. I had assumed from reading the other posts around here that it was extremely unlikely for an EFM application to get a COA with right to work, though it seems very clear from the policy directives that being granted an FP ...

Clarification on COA w/o right to work for unmarried partner

Hi all, I've been reading through all the threads I can find on the technicalities on getting a COA without right to work as an unmarried partner. I wanted to make sure I've interpreted these properly and don't somehow jeopardise my standing while my application is being processed. I'm a Canadian ...

Quick update to my timeline: EEA(EFM - unmarried partner) App delivered on 22/09 Fee taken on 26/09 Biometrics letter dated 28/09 Biometrics enrolled 05/10 COA pending I'm not sure that an unmarried partner is an "EFM" (Extended Family Member). I believe unmarried partners are just family member ...

Re: Question on requesting return of passport (How soon?)

thanks for your views on this. I submitted my biometrics today, so I will give it a few days for those to be received and logged with Home Office then request that my passport be returned. Fingers crossed!

Question on requesting return of passport (How soon?)

Hi, Haven't been able to find much info on the timing of passport return requests so I thought I would start a new thread on this. I've submitted my EEA RC application (EFM route for unmarried partner), received my letter to submit my biometrics, and will be doing that on Monday October 5th. I ...

Re: Advice sought: Unmarried partner applying for EEA2 permi

Thanks for the reply. Yes had intended to apply as EFM, and just trying to confirm that we won't be rejected because we lived apart for several months. Regarding your time apart - up to a period of 6 months is permitted if for genuine reasons...such as work commitments etc. this is good to know ...

Advice sought: Unmarried partner applying for EEA2 permit

Hi all, I haven't been able to find info online about this so I thought I'd try to post the question: I am a Canadian who is in the UK on an EEA1 permit that expires in mid-December. My partner is a German national working here full time. I am here on an unmarried partner permit which means (if I ...
