Out of Country Application (But not home country)

Hi All, I am a Nigerian living in Ghana. The ECOWAS Passport allows for free movement within West African countries in ECOWAS. I have applied for UK Jobs and I'm receiving positive feedbacks. But my concern is, if it comes to applying for the Tier 2 work visa after receiving a Job offer and COS, can ...

What happens if the allocated quota is full when you apply?

Hi All,

I understand that there is an allocated quota of about 1000 per year right?

What happens if the allocated quota is full when you apply? Will you get your application money back after rejection or will they retain it?

Thanks.

Re: Marriage Visitor visa

Then why not apply for a fiance visa, which is 6 months validity and then you can remain in the UK and apply for FLR(M) once married?? HO might still scrutinise your application and relationship given your recent refusal. Yes true, but we currently dont meet the Financial requirement stated in the ...

Re: Marriage Visitor visa

Let's be clear here. A marriage visitor visa is for someone who wishes to marry in the UK (within 6 months), but intends to leave after the wedding. Is this your intention? If not, you need to apply for a fiance visa. Yes this is my intention to come in and get married then leave after the marriage ...

"if she was not working for 4 months, her previous job needed to pay well above £18600 pa in order to qualify for a visa right now." Thanks for your response. Sorry for the confusion. But your last sentence seem to have summarised my question. So just how much will be 'well above'? Cos at the moment ...

Hi there, I need some advise regarding this scenario. Say I come in the UK using the Marriage visitor visa and got married. Re: Applying for South African Work permit

I would strongly suggest you do your research properly. SA is very expensive and jobs are hard to get even for SA citizens, that is without the crime and lack of basic service delivery and extreme corruption. There are other countries on the African continent that would probably be much better ...

Re: Tier 2 visa application required minimum salary/working

Oh Right, I see your point.

As of the Pro-rater calculations, seeing as the £31,100 is the minimum requirement for a 39 hour/week Job.

This job is a 37.5 hour / week which would mean we only need to match it to £29,904 right?
i.e. (37.5 x 31,000) / 39 = £29,904

A questions regarding Tier 2 General working hours

the new entrant min. salary for a 39 hour week under SOC code 2135 is actually £24,900, not £24,000. For a 37.5 hour week the minimum would be 37.5/39.0 x £24,900 = £23, 943. Your £25k salary is well above the threshold. There is no problem with working a 37.5 hour week. Hi, How about a 32.5 hours a ...
