This is disheartening but you can only wait. I am on the boat as well and have been waiting for a month now. I called HO last week but a lady refused to tell me anything until 14 weeks later after my application received. Please inform me if you hear anything... I will do the same... BTW what ...

Congrats-I know you are walking taller and oh so relieved!! What about citizenship? Can you apply after one year? Nop, I am afraid it isn't as simple as that. I've now have to wait for 5 more years of legal residence and only after that I can get the citizenship :-( But hey, I am not complaining ...

i got a acknowledgement letter from HO today. they say that it has been passed to a caseworker and they will be in touch if they need more documents or anything. can i take this that the application is valid then?

Hi Your stamp is the main evidence of your arrival and time you spent in the UK. I am not even sure if they accept any other form of evidence except for your passport. Well the scam marriages used to happen before and it was not for that reason only....that is why it is down to the HO and others to determine whether or not the relationship is real, with the questions they ask and the history of the couple etc.
